Meigs's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 36-6 victory over the Vinton County Vikings. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-6.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Meigs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gunner Cleland, who threw for 269 yards and four touchdowns. The Marauders' leading receiver Griffin Hudson was Cleland's top target yet again, picking up 116 receiving yards and one TD, while also punching in one score on the ground.

Meigs' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Vinton County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Meigs will take on River Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Marauders will be up against the Raiders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 46.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Vinton County, they will be playing at home against Athens at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
