Giovanna Gottfried put up the most strikeouts she's had since back in April on Monday. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best she's had all season long. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
