Basketball Recap: Chilton Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Chilton extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-3. They took a 55-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Holstein Huskies. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Huskies from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Chilton lost, don't look at Mason Pagel. Despite the final result, he went 8-for-12 en route to 18 points and four steals. Pagel is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Bennett Geiser, who posted 12 points and five boards.

As for New Holstein, they now have a winning record of 2-1. Surprisingly, this marked their fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

New Holstein found their leader in sophomore Owen Birschbach, who shot 61% from the field on his way to 25 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. James Conrad was another key player, putting up 11 points and five boards.
