Basketball Game Preview: Sheridan Rams vs. STEM School Highlands Ranch Spartans

The Sheridan Rams and the STEM School Highlands Ranch Spartans will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sheridan is looking for their season's first victory.

Sheridan lost 80-54 to DSST: College View on Friday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask STEM School Highlands Ranch). They came out on top against KIPP Denver Collegiate by a score of 49-36 on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Spartans with their most commanding win of the season.

Sheridan better focus on containing Avi Thakkar and Matt Moore as the pair were huge in STEM School Highlands Ranch's win. Thakkar posted 15 points and five steals, while Moore put up 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Those 11 points gave Moore a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Calme, who had two points and seven rebounds.

STEM School Highlands Ranch smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

STEM School Highlands Ranch now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Sheridan, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
