Baseball Game Preview: Concord Yellowjackets vs. Grass Lake Warriors

The Concord Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to square off against the Grass Lake Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Concord is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Concord came up short against Quincy and fell 9-4.

Adam Miller was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Gray, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Grass Lake ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Columbia Central 3-2.

Grass Lake has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season. As for Concord, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Concord couldn't quite get it done against Grass Lake in their previous matchup back in May of 2023 as they fell 3-0. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
