Basketball Recap: East Surry's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

East Surry suffered their closest defeat since December 11, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the South Stokes Sauras by a score of 56-54. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Sauras recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

East Surry's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-11. As for South Stokes, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Surry will take on Forbush at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. East Surry is facing Forbush at the right time seeing as Forbush is stuck on a 20-game losing streak. As for South Stokes, they and Reagan will face off at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. South Stokes knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matches -- so hopefully Reagan likes a good challenge.
