Volleyball Recap: Astoria Comes Up Short

Astoria and Philomath squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Astoria had to settle for second. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Fishermen in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost five in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, 25-15.

Astoria's record is now 17-8. As for Philomath, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7.

As of now, neither Astoria nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
