Basketball Recap: Indian Rocks Christian Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Indian Rocks Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 52-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop McLaughlin Catholic Hurricanes. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hurricanes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Bishop McLaughlin Catholic had a senior duo take command as Jacob Mekdeci almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards and Christopher Bell posted 12 points and four steals. Bell is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Velez, who earned three points.

Indian Rocks Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Bishop McLaughlin Catholic, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Indian Rocks Christian will face off against Northside Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Bishop McLaughlin Catholic, they will square off against Academy at the Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
