Volleyball Recap: Citrus Valley Comes Up Short

Citrus Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Cajon Cowboys. If the Blackhawks were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Cowboys when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Citrus Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Cajon, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Citrus Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe Redlands East Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cajon will square off against rival Yucaipa at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cajon is on a three-game streak of home wins, Yucaipa a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
