Basketball Game Preview: North Wilkes Vikings vs. Surry Central Golden Eagles + How To Watch

North Wilkes hasn't had much luck against Surry Central recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Vikings will head out to face off against the Golden Eagles at 6:15 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

North Wilkes can't be too happy about their upcoming road contest considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Thursday. They fell just short of Forbush by a score of 61-59. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Vikings have suffered since December 9, 2024.

Meanwhile, Surry Central ended up a good deal behind Elkin on Tuesday and lost 73-58.

North Wilkes suffered a grim 78-54 defeat to Surry Central when the teams last played back in February. Thankfully for the Vikings, Tripp Mcmillen (who almost dropped a double-double with 28 points and nine boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
