Basketball Recap: School for Entrepreneurship & Technology Drops Highest Score of Season Against San Ysidro

School for Entrepreneurship & Technology scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 42-33 to the San Ysidro Cougars. While the Lions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cougars 13-8 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, School for Entrepreneurship & Technology saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Malia Edwards dropped a double-double with 21 points and 16 boards. Those 16 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Edwards. The team also got some help courtesy of Fatima Wheeler, who posted two points and 11 boards.

This is the second loss in a row for School for Entrepreneurship & Technology and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for San Ysidro, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, School for Entrepreneurship & Technology will be playing at home against Preuss UCSD at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for San Ysidro, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Clairemont at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
