Basketball Recap: Genesis Academy Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Genesis Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Promise Prepatory Academy Knights on Friday, falling 79-56. The Genesis lost against the Knights in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 72-27 score last time.

The win made it two in a row for Promise Prepatory Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Genesis Academy will be playing at home against Sugar Hill Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Genesis' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Promise Prepatory Academy, they will take on North Georgia HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
