It was a good run, but Algoma unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 4-1 to the Sturgeon Bay Clippers. The match was a close 2-1 at the break, but unfortunately for Algoma it sure didn't stay that way.

Algoma's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-2-1. As for Sturgeon Bay, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-1 record this season.

Algoma will host Denmark at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sturgeon Bay, they will venture away from home to square off against Peshtigo at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sturgeon Bay will be up against Peshtigo's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.5 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
