Marco Island Academy is a perfect 10-0 against Everglades City since September of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Rays will be playing at home against the Gators at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Marco Island Academy will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Southwest Florida Christian, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Rays blew past the King's 3-0 on Monday. The Rays not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 25th (when they won 3-0).

Marco Island Academy was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17, 25-20.

Sophia Ogdin was the offensive standout of the contest as she had eight digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last seven matches.

Meanwhile, Everglades City waltzed into their matchup on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They put the hurt on the Academy with a sharp 3-0 victory. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Everglades City was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-12, 25-10.

Marco Island Academy's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Everglades City, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.

Everything went Marco Island Academy's way against Everglades City in their previous meeting back in September, as Marco Island Academy made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Rays have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
