Football Recap: Show Low Takes Down River Valley in a Playoff Battle

Show Low had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 21-14 win over the River Valley Dust Devils on Friday.

It was another big night for Jett Walker, who rushed for 95 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries.

Show Low pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.2 points on average over those games. As for River Valley, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Show Low will venture away from home to face off against Benjamin Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Cougars 9.6, the Chargers 9.2) so any points scored will be well earned. River Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
