Leavenworth had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Pittsburg Dragons by a score of 32-22 on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the PIONEERS as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Julian Simon went supernova, rushing for 58 yards and two TDs.

Leavenworth didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Pierce Gray and Ja`Marion Jefferson. Another thorn in Pittsburg's side was Tyreck Wyche, who picked up a sack, forced two fumbles, and made two total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Leavenworth's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Pittsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 4-5.

Looking ahead, Leavenworth will challenge Blue Valley North at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pittsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
