Tohatchi and Ruidoso squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Tohatchi had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Ruidoso found their leader in sophomore Talyn Ramos, who had 22 assists and 12 digs. Ramos has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more assists the last three times she's played.

Tohatchi's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Ruidoso, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Tohatchi didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Hot Springs on the 14th. As for Ruidoso, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Cobre on the 13th.
