Volleyball Recap: Holmes Has No Trouble Against Research Triangle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Holmes had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They blew past the Research Triangle Raptors 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Aces.

Holmes' got stronger as the match went on, holding Research Triangle to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-12, 25-11.

Holmes' offense was headlined by Mariah Miller and SarahLogan Cobb, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Harper Evans and her 26 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Holmes' victory bumped their record up to 23-3. As for Research Triangle, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-5.

Holmes wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Research Triangle Academy on the 23rd. Research Triangle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
