Volleyball Game Preview: Northside Mustangs vs. Amundsen Vikings

After both having extra time off, the Northside Mustangs and the Amundsen Vikings will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Monday, Northside came up short against Jones and fell 2-0. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14.

The losing side was boosted by Evy Chan, who had 13 digs and three assists.

Meanwhile, Amundsen also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Lane Tech by a score of 2-0. The Vikings have struggled against the Champions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-15.

Northside now has a losing record of 15-16. As for Amundsen, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-20.

Northside skirted past Amundsen 2-1 in their previous meeting back in September. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
