Soccer Recap: Evanston Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Evanston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Glenbrook South Titans. While losing is never fun, Evanston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while Glenbrook South are ranked 79th).

Evanston's loss dropped their record down to 2-10-3. As for Glenbrook South, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Evanston will host Niles North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Glenbrook South, they will face off against Maine West at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maine West's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
