Basketball Recap: Many Farms Comes Up Short

If Many Farms was riding high fresh off their 53-19 takedown of Northland Prep Academy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Many Farms Lobos took a 50-36 bruising from the St. Johns Redskins on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lobos of the 66-32 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Many Farms lost, don't look at Raelene Harvey. Despite the final result, she posted ten points and seven boards.

Evelyn Andrus was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds for St. Johns. Those 25 points gave Andrus a new career-high. Kaylee Pulsipher was another key player, putting up four points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Many Farms' defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 15-6. As for St. Johns, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Many Farms has already played their next game (against Monument Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. St. Johns will venture away from home to face off against Show Low at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Show Low will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something St. Johns surely won't give up without a fight.
