Flag Football Game Preview: Lincoln Lancers vs. Manual Thunderbolts

The Lincoln Lancers are taking a road trip to square off against the Manual Thunderbolts at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln's offense hasn't had much luck over their past ten games, but Tuesday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lincoln is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Elizabeth on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Lancers were dealt a 52-6 loss at the hands of the Cardinals. The Lancers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-6.

Meanwhile, Manual faced Denver North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Thunderbolts lost 28-6 to the Vikings.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Manual, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 11-2.

Things could have been worse for Lincoln, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 26-7 loss to Manual when the teams last played back in August of 2024. Can the Lancers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
