Baseball Game Preview: Klamath Union Pelicans vs. Rogue River Chieftains

The Klamath Union Pelicans will take on the Rogue River Chieftains at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Klamath Union and five for Rogue River.

Enterprise hit Klamath Union with a four-run fifth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Pelicans came up short against the Hornets, falling 12-2.

Klamath Union saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was PJ Safford, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI. Nolan Baker also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Rogue River might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 17-7 to Douglas, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Rogue River's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Klamath Union, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-5.
