Volleyball Recap: Kenston Finds Playoff Glory Versus Harvey

With a playoff win on the line, Kenston rose to the challenge on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Harvey Red Raiders as they made off with a 3-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Bombers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Kenston's got stronger as the match went on, holding Harvey to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11, 25-9.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kenston to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alexis Kosiorek, who had five aces and three digs. Those five aces gave Kosiorek a new career-high. Jetta Cornell also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Kenston was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Kenston's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Harvey, they dropped their record down to 5-18 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Kenston will host Revere at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harvey does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
