Baseball Recap: Marist Has No Trouble Against Niles Notre Dame

Marist barely beat Niles Notre Dame the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The RedHawks put the hurt on the Dons with a sharp 10-4 victory on Saturday. The high-scoring effort was just what the RedHawks needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

The team relied heavily on Charlie Dunneback, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tommy Hosty, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Marist always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Marist's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Niles Notre Dame, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5-1.
