Basketball Recap: Simi Valley Comes Up Short

Simi Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Windward Wildcats, falling 67-37.

Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Harshith Rajan, who went 6-for-13 on his way to 14 points. Another player making a difference was Shibi Saravanan, who posted eight points.

Simi Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Windward, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Simi Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 73-66 loss against Knight on the 26th. As for Windward, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 74-56 victory against Westlake on the 28th.
