Basketball Game Preview: Morningside Academy Eagles (Eddy) vs. Edgewood Red Wolves

The Morningside Academy Eagles (Eddy) will venture away from home to challenge the Edgewood Red Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Morningside Academy might have lost, but man, Jaiven Jackson was a machine: he dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards. Jackson is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least ten every time he's taken the court this season. AJ Chang was another key player, putting up ten points and five assists.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 70-32, which was the final score in Edgewood's tilt against Heritage on Tuesday.

Edgewood's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Morningside Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-3.

Everything went Morningside Academy's way against Edgewood when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as Morningside Academy made off with a 68-47 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles (Eddy) since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
