Basketball Recap: Indianapolis Metropolitan Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After flying high against Rooted School last Wednesday, Indianapolis Metropolitan came back down to earth. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Pumas lost to the Greenwood Christian Academy Cougars at home by a 56-41 margin on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Pumas came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while the Cougars are ranked 259th).

Indianapolis Metropolitan lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kaden McGee, who posted 13 points. McGee is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kwame Hawkins, who had nine points.

Indianapolis Metropolitan's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-6. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.

Indianapolis Metropolitan will square off against Eminence at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Indianapolis Metropolitan is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.5 points per game this season. Greenwood Christian Academy has already played their next matchup, a 77-30 win against International on the 4th.
