Sheridan was handed a seven-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Clinton Central Bulldogs 4-3. For the Blackhawks, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

The team relied heavily on Chance Spencer, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2025. Levi Gellert was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run.

Sheridan's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Clinton Central, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sheridan will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Indy Genesis HomeSchool at 5:30 p.m. on the 26th. As for Clinton Central, they will welcome Western Boone at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Stars will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
