Football Recap: Phillips Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After soaring to 36 points the game before, Phillips was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were dealt a 49-6 defeat at the hands of the Hackleburg Panthers. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Trey Tidwell threw for 68 yards and one touchdown. Hunter Scruggs was his top target, picking up 43 receiving yards and one TD.

A big part of Hackleburg's win came down to the chemistry between Maddox Vickery and his top target Daughtry Gober. Vickery gained 9 total yards while Gober rushed for 44 yards and one score. Vickery also punched in a rushing touchdown, marking his first of the season.

Phillips' loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Hackleburg, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
