Chaminade came into Friday's game looking for another win against Notre Dame (SO), but Wyatt Brown wouldn't allow it. The Knights snuck past the Eagles with a 27-21 victory on Friday with plenty of help from Brown, who rushed for 168 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 134 yards and one touchdown. He has become a key player for Notre Dame (SO): the team is undefeated when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 2-5 otherwise.

Despite the defeat, Chaminade had strong showings from Cameron Blackman, who rushed for 178 yards while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, and Marquis Jones, who rushed for 41 yards and two scores. Blackman showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 50 yards.

With the win, Notre Dame (SO) broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-5. As for Chaminade, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-5.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Notre Dame (SO) will square off against Laguna Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Brown and Jack Hurst. As for Chaminade, they will face off against Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Pumas' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.8 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
