Baseball Recap: Homestead Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Homestead and Grafton, and Grafton kept the tradition alive. The Highlanders fell just short of the Black Hawks by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Highlanders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Black Hawks earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Homestead's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Grafton, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Homestead is set to square off against their familiar foe Slinger at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Grafton will face off against rival Nicolet at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
