Soccer Game Preview: Nantucket vs. Dennis-Yarmouth Regional

The Nantucket Whalers will take on the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional Dolphins at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.

Nantucket is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Martha's Vineyard Regional just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Saturday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Vineyarders who were credited with the win.

Nantucket will have to contend with a Dennis-Yarmouth Regional team hungry for a victory, something the squad hasn't seen since the 2nd. Neither Dennis-Yarmouth Regional nor Sturgis West could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Dennis-Yarmouth Regional's draw gives them a new season record of 4-9-4. As for Nantucket, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
