Petal won the last time they faced Meridian and things went their way on Friday too. The Panthers breezed past the Wildcats to the tune of 42-14. The Panthers' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Petal pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.5 points over those games. As for Meridian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
