Basketball Recap: Skyler Washington's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Robertsdale over East Central

Robertsdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 74-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Central Hornets.

Robertsdale's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Skyler Washington, who shot 43% from the field on his way to 20 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Quindarius Shields, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds.

East Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anthony Bonfiglio, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 13 boards. Bonfiglio continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Maryland, who posted 13 points and seven assists.

Robertsdale's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for East Central, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Robertsdale is taking a road trip to take on Citronelle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Central will be paying especially close attention to the Golden Bears' game: after the Golden Bears face off against the Wildcats, they'll take on East Central again at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
