Softball Recap: Eastern Alamance Triumphs

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Eastern Alamance ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Fighting Red Wolves: they've now won eight in a row.

Delani Straughan spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Edie Stewart was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Brylea Warren also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
