Football Recap: Donegal's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak at Home

Donegal lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Northern Lebanon, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's contest. The Indians blew past the Vikings 44-22 on Friday. The Indians' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Leelan Baughman was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 231 yards while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 110.6 rushing yards per game.

Northern Lebanon's loss came despite strong showings from Brady Ryan and Bryan Mitzel. Ryan gained 155 total yards and two touchdowns, while Mitzel threw for 158 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Ryan also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing two fumbles and making seven total tackles.

Donegal's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Northern Lebanon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Donegal will face off against Wyomissing at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Spartans' defense has only allowed 13.2 points per game this season, so the Indians' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Northern Lebanon, they will take on Twin Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
