Soccer Recap: Mae Jemison Takes a Loss

Mae Jemison fell victim to Lincoln and their airtight defense on Friday. They fell just short of the Golden Bears by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Mae Jemison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 196th, while Lincoln are ranked 46th).

Mae Jemison dropped their record down to 2-13-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Lincoln, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 16-1-1.

Coming up, Mae Jemison will welcome Madison County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lincoln, they are on the road again on Saturday to play West Morgan at 11:00 a.m. West Morgan will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Lincoln surely won't give up without a fight.
