Basketball Recap: Drummond Comes Up Short

Drummond was the 51-40 winner over St. Regis when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Drummond Trojans fell 54-44 to the St. Regis Tigers on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Tigers are ranked 18th).

This is the second loss in a row for Drummond and nudges their season record down to 4-9. As for St. Regis, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Drummond has already played their next matchup (against Two Eagle River), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. St. Regis will take on Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on February 8th.
