Football Game Preview: Barnstable Red Hawks vs. Milford Scarlet Hawks

The Barnstable Red Hawks will take on the Milford Scarlet Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Barnstable will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak dating back to last season.

Barnstable's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Amherst-Pelham Regional 41-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Red Hawks' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 193rd).

Meanwhile, Milford suffered their biggest loss since September 27, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against Natick, falling 28-6. The loss was the Scarlet Hawks' first of the season.

Barnstable's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Milford, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Things could have been worse for Barnstable, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 30-16 loss to Milford when the teams last played back in October of 2022.
