The Langston Hughes Panthers won the last time they faced the Dutchtown Bulldogs, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Langston Hughes strolled past Dutchtown with points to spare, taking the game 65-50. The win made it back-to-back wins for Langston Hughes.
Among those leading the charge was Brentis Schaeffer, who scored 27 points. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaron LeMelle, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
Langston Hughes now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Dutchtown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.
Langston Hughes will head out on the road to face off against Creekside at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dutchtown, they will be playing at home against Eagle's Landing on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Eagle's Landing is ranked 67th, while Dutchtown is ranked 77th).
