Baseball Recap: Pearland Gets the Win

While Pearland's victory against South Houston wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Oilers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Trojans on Friday. The Oilers haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Nicholas Partida, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Walker Hurst was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

Pearland's record is now 21-7. As for South Houston, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-23.

As of now, neither Pearland nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
