Volleyball Recap: Mesquite Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Mesquite came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Cactus Shadows Falcons. Considering the last time the Wildcats couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

Mesquite couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Cactus Shadows a tough time in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-12, 32-30.

Cactus Shadows had a senior duo take command as Gabby Procopio had 13 digs and two assists and Jordyn Fairfield had 13 digs.

Mesquite's defeat ended an eight-match streak of away wins and brought them to 25-7. As for Cactus Shadows, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-6.

As of now, neither Mesquite nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
