After flying high against Watersmeet on Thursday, Ewen-Trout Creek came back down to earth. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Dollar Bay Bays on Monday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Ewen-Trout Creek started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-22.

Kallie Heinonen had a dynamite game For Dollar Bay., getting 30 digs and three assists. Those three assists gave Heinonen a new career-high.

Ewen-Trout Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Dollar Bay, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.
