Basketball Recap: Shullsburg Falls Short of Barneveld in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Shullsburg couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 48-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Barneveld Eagles on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-34 back in December of 2024.

The loss snapped Shullsburg's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 15-6 record. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points over those games. As for Barneveld, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.
