Whitehall entered their tilt with Salem on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Generals. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Railroaders also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Harper Kingsley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on 11 hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Marcee Bassette, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Whitehall's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Salem, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Whitehall will square off against Saratoga Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Salem, they will face off against Cambridge at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for the Generals and six for the Athletics.
