Soccer Game Preview: Moffat County vs. Basalt + Official Tickets

Moffat County is 0-10 against Basalt since April of 2017 but things could change on Saturday. The Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Longhorns at 11:00 a.m. Moffat County has given up an average of 7.9 goals per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Moffat County fell victim to Vail Mountain and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Rangers, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Moffat County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Vail Mountain are ranked 98th).

Meanwhile, Basalt has been on a difficult stretch since their win on March 17. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Roaring Fork on Thursday.

Moffat County's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Basalt, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-1.

Moffat County might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from Basalt in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
