Football Recap: Lake Havasu Piles Up the Points Against Youngker

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Lake Havasu's strategy against Youngker on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Knights blew the Roughriders out of the water with a 56-0 final score. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Knights had established a 49-point advantage.

McKenna Nutt went supernova, throwing for 143 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of her passes, and also punching in one touchdown on the ground. Those 143 passing yards gave her a new career-high.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Lake Havasu's defense and their three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Audrey French. Bryn Farshler got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Lake Havasu has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Lake Havasu will square off against North Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Youngker, they will face off against Alhambra at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
