Recap: Northwest Area Rangers vs. Millville Quakers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hughesville, the Northwest Area Rangers were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They came out on top against Millville by a score of 49-38. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Northwest Area also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Karsyn Miner was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Northwest Area's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Hermanofski, who scored seven points along with six steals.

Larissa Evans and Abby Kakaley certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Evans scored 25 points along with three steals, while Kakaley scored eight points along with six steals. The matchup was Evans' fifth in a row with at least ten points.

The win got Northwest Area back to even at 2-2. As for Millville, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Northwest Area will head out on the road to face off against Columbia Montour Vo-Tech at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Columbia Montour Vo-Tech comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Millville will be home for the holidays to greet Benton at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
