Bishop Ireton's offense might be in the hot seat on Saturday considering what happened against St. Mary's Ryken on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Knights. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 212th in Virginia, while the Knights are ranked 13th in Maryland).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Paul VI, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They never let Archbishop Carroll get on the board and left with a 17-0 win on Friday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Paul VI was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 223 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Archbishop Carroll only rushed for 83.

Paul VI's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Bishop Ireton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
